Toledo, SpainW, populated since the Bronze Age, became Roman 192 BC. After others 511 captured by the Visigotes, from 531 to 711 Visigothic. 712 taken ove by the Califate of Cordoba, till 1085. Alfonso VI of Castile took Toledo in 1085. From this time it was catholic.
Long time, as well in the Califate and in the early days of the Castilian reign, Toledo was an example for peaceful coexistence of Muslim, Hebrew and Christian culture. The rests of these times can still be seen everywhere.
